Think it’s time to pop the question? You want to create an unforgettable moment while you get down on one knee but where would be an ideal location? We love a love story and our team have put their heads together and listed their favourite romantic spots and where we think the best places are in Dorset.

Bournemouth Pier

Nestled underneath a gorgeous cliff line, Bournemouth Beach has seven miles of award-winning sands. Enjoy the views of the Isle of Wight, the Purbecks or the colourful beach huts along the Promenade from Bournemouth Pier. Go traditional and treat your loved one to a meal at Key West or impress a thrill-seeker by proposing from the top of the zip wire!

BOAT RIDE FROM POOLE QUAY

Poole Harbour is gorgeous day or night. Stroll alongside the Quayside looking out for the tall ships and luxury Sunseeker powerboats. Why not take a boat trip out to Swanage or Old Harry Rocks? You might need to check the weather forecast beforehand though!

LULWORTH COVE & DURDLE DOOR

The Jurassic Coast is breathtakingly spectacular. And nowhere more so than Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. The beautiful white pebble beach of Lulworth Cove, with its blue waters and easy access make it a popular destination. Durdle Door provides one of the most iconic backdrops in the world. Don’t forget to take your camera to capture the moment!

BLUE POOL

The Blue Pool is a unique attraction in the Isle of Purbeck famous for its ever changing colours. Very fine clay in suspension in the water diffracts light in different ways, producing a spectrum of colour – sometimes green, sometimes turquoise. Magical!

Forum jewellers places to propose

Yes, in-store here at Forum in Broadstone! We have helped a number people propose, including Mark who had previously brought his girlfriend in to look for engagement rings. However, she was unaware that he was planning a formal proposal and had asked us to get ready for their return visit by providing a single red rose! When they came back to the shop, we sat them down in our consultation area where Mark popped the question with the ring and rose which we videoed for them.

We were also extremely honoured to be part of Mark & Frankie’s proposal. Mark asked us to put a “Frankie will you marry me” sign in a ring box in our window so he could propose and purchase an engagement ring on the spot. And she said…..YES!

How lucky we were to be able to watch these most romantic gestures. We’re always happy to help create the perfect proposal so don’t hesitate to ask!
